Piano Care Tips

✅ Do’s

  • Tune regularly — at least twice a year to maintain stable pitch.
  • Control the environment — keep humidity steady around 42% RH. If you live in a particularly humid or dry area, consider having us install a Dampp-Chaser Humidity Control System in your piano.
  • Clean keys gently — damp cloth for white keys, dry cloth for black keys. You can also spray Cory Key Brite on keys to keep them clean.
  • Call a technician if you notice buzzing, sticking keys, or pedal issues.

❌ Don’ts

  • Don’t place near heat, AC vents, or direct sunlight.
  • Don’t move it yourself — always hire professionals.
  • Don’t put drinks, plants, or objects on top.
  • Don’t use household cleaners on keys or finish. Cory Key Brite is safe to spray on keys.
  • Don’t neglect voicing & regulation — tuning isn’t enough.
  • Don’t store in garages or basements with extreme humidity swings.
